Last night, we rang in the New Year at home. Caroline is still little, and just doesn't do well out of her routine, especially being out and about after her bedtime. We didn't really want to mess with it, and I enjoyed having a low-key weekend. We haven't had one in awhile, with all the birthday and Holiday hoopla. Sadly, Max, Caroline, and I were in bed by 9:00 p.m. Walter said he came in to kiss me at midnight, and I grumbled incoherently and rolled over. Sorry, sweetie.
I'm not one for resolutions. I'm not opposed necessarily, but honestly, I can't remember something like that for longer than a week. I do have things that I want to work on, so I guess you could call them resolutions for fun.
- Work on my relationship with Jesus. I have a lot of work to do spiritually - I want to be a better person. I would like to read the Bible completely. I need to pray more. Live his Word.
- Be a better mom - have more patience. Play more. Say "yes."
- Be a better wife - date nights and understanding.
- Weight - yes, it's on here too. I really need to lose some weight. It's creeping back up, and I really am not happy about that.
I am so looking forward to this new year. Max is 3- which is a fantastically, fun age. Yes he can be frustrating, but he is so funny, charming, and I am enjoying him. I am excited about all of Caroline's firsts - she is such a joy to our lives -a sweet, innocent baby. I love watching her personality emerge. I can't wait to get to know her even more.
Bring it on, 2012.

i think it's a great list. good luck with everything!
